Registration and seating

Let teams in, check their rosters, and put them in lobbies.

How are you doing it?

How registration opens

Registration is either open or closed. Two things change that:

  • The schedule. Set a start and an end in UTC. The bot opens and closes registration at those times by itself.
  • The Open / Close registration button. Use it any time. A manual open stays open until the next scheduled close. A manual close stays closed until the next scheduled open.

Saving times does not open registration by itself. Leave a time empty to open or close by hand only. All times are UTC.

Registration settings

Registration channel
Where teams register and where the bot posts its public notices.
Approval channel
Where organizers see each registration and place the team.
Access role
Optional. While registration is open this role can type in the registration channel. When it closes, the bot takes that back. The bot needs Manage Channels there.
Waitlist role
Optional. Given to managers of teams that are interested or waiting, so you can mention them. Kept across stages.
Players in server
Rule from 0 to 6. How many of a team's linked players must be in your Discord server. 0 turns it off.
Minimum roster size
Rule from 0 to 6. How many players a team must have at registration. 0 turns it off.

In Discord

Configure… → Registration. Buttons for Channels, Schedule, Auto accept, Roster rules and Messages. The dashboard home has the Open registration / Close registration button.

On the web dashboard

The Registration tab, Settings section. The on and off switch is on the Overview tab.

Messages

Three optional messages go to the registration channel: a notification before it opens (for example "Registration opens in 15 minutes"), an open message and a closed message. There is also the confirmation prompt text, covered on Match day.

In Discord

Configure… → Messages shows previews. Press a numbered button to change one, then follow the prompt. Send message on the main menu posts a one-off message as the bot.

On the web dashboard

Registration → Messages has a text box for each.

Placing teams

When a team registers, the bot posts a public notice and an approval message with the team's country, ID and an optional roster preview.

In Discord

  1. On the approval message, click a lobby number to seat the team there.
  2. Show roster and Hide roster reveal the locked roster. Refresh updates the message.
  3. Remove slot takes a team out of its seat so you can place someone else.

Approval buttons work on every stage.

On the web dashboard

  1. Open the Teams tab and choose a stage.
  2. Expand a team to see its roster snapshot.
  3. Assign a team to a lobby, or remove it from one.

The Export section lists lobby seats, including vacant slots, and each player's in-game ID. Copy it or download it.

Auto-accept and randomize

With auto-accept on, each new team skips approval and takes the next free seat. With randomize lobbies on as well, the bot picks a random lobby that is ready instead of filling lobby 1 first.

Stage 1 only

Both options only apply on stage 1, and only to teams seated after you turn them on. From stage 2, use the approval lobby buttons or the web Teams tab.

In Discord

Turn them on under Configure… → Registration → Auto accept.

On the web dashboard

Both are switches on the Registration tab.

If a team cannot register

  • Registration is closed. Check the schedule and the Open registration button.
  • The roster rules failed. The team needs more players, or linked players must join your server.
  • Registration will not open. Set the registration and approval channels first.
  • Roles did not apply. Move the bot's role above them.
