A scrim day

What the bot does on its own, what teams do, and where you can step in.

How are you doing it?

The day in order

StepWhat happens
NotificationThe notification message posts.
VIP windowIf you set a VIP open time and a VIP role, role holders register first.
Registration opensThe registration role gets access to the channel. Teams register until the seats are full, then go on the waitlist.
ConfirmationSeated managers press Confirm in their lobby channel.
Confirmation closesUnconfirmed seats are freed. Normal and VIP seats alike.
WaitlistWaitlisted teams register again to claim freed seats. With Automate slots on, the bot swaps them in.
Scrim startsThe day ends and the next scheduled day is lined up.
ClearOne hour before the next first registration, the run is cleared. See Runs and clearing.

Registration

Teams register with %register plus a bot mention, or with /register. See the team side on Registering. Each team gets a reaction: ✅ seated, ⏳ waitlisted, 🔁 duplicate, ❓ unreadable, ⏰ too early, 🚫 banned, ⭐ not a VIP.

The order is set by Discord's own time on the message, not by when the bot got round to reading it.

Taking control by hand

You can open or close any window outside its schedule. A manual open lasts until the next scheduled close. A manual close lasts until the next scheduled open.

In Discord

While the scrim is on, the dashboard home lists each window as 🟢 open or ⚫ closed, with a countdown when it changes within the hour. Buttons under it read Open registration, Close confirmation and so on.

Under Configure… → Schedule:

  • Pause until… skips days until a date you pick.
  • Cancel day… closes the rest of today's windows. It only works while today is live.
  • Resume day brings a cancelled day back.

On the web dashboard

The Overview tab shows the next day's times in your own time zone and a button for each window. Pause, cancel and resume are on the same tab and on Schedule.

Schedule edits apply from tomorrow

If a scrim day is under way, changes you save to the schedule apply from the next day, which is set up when today's scrim starts.
